OBSERVATION

 In the first week, I and my friends did campus observation to know the campus’ situations and atmosphere. Also, the facilities of the classroom in conducting this program. I also started to do classroom observation of student-teacher and teacher also. I have to observe every single detail of the teachers and the students in the classes.
I need to pay attention to teachers’ teaching approaches, teaching styles, teaching methods, ways of lesson and instruction delivery, classroom management, students’ behaviors, students’ responds, comprehension of lessons and instructions, and so on. They have diversity in many aspects based on the teachers’ characteristics. Through these observations, I got so many things about being a teacher. This was the intention of doing classroom observations. Also, I could begin to work hard to finish this teaching practice. In addition, the subjects that I have learned in the last four years at my university were very important for me to conduct this teaching practicum program.

            I started to observe the first lectures name Ms. Nguyen Tuyet Hanh. She taught about “our world”. I learned a lot after conducting an observation in her class. One of the important parts that I learned from her is using examples when explaining the materials in order to make students understand about the lesson clearly. The second lecturer that I have observed is Mr. Le Quoc Kiet. In that day, his class learned about verb and noun. He was very energetic while teaching his students. He played a song before starting the materials. There are many games in his class that make students interest to study. The third lecture that I have observed is Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong My. The students learned about stages in life. While teaching, she used clear instruction that students can easy to do what they have to do. Same like Ms. Phoung Ly, she also used a clear instructions and also giving feedback to the students in order to make them know whether they are right or wrong. The next teacher that I have observed is Ms Nguyen Ngoc Thao, Ms. Phan Nguyen Huyen Chau, Ms Nguyen Thi Ngoc Ha, and Ms. Su Thi Ai My. All of them have a good strategy in managing the class. They used group work and also work in pair in order to make students know how to discuss something with their friends. From those teachers I can concluded that we as a teacher have to consider about some points when teaching the students like instruction, time management, classroom management, games, feedback and the way when delivering the materials because it can impact the willingness of students.
