GOOD BYE

On September, 30 was the day that I was hate in my life. That is because I have to leave Ho Chi Minh City and all of my friends that helped my in every situation during I was in Vietnam. But, I cannot say anything because I have to continued my study in Undiksha, Bali. I went to the Ho Chi Minh airport in 5.30 a.m because my flight to Bali at 09.00 a.m. All the way to the airport my friends and I sing a song together. I just want to say SORRY and THANK YOU for new experiences, new life, new friends, new food and everything that I got from Ho Chi Minh City especially from HCMUTE.

CITY TOUR

TEACHING PRACTICUM

“Practice makes us right, repetitions make us perfect” ~ Ernis 2019

            This sentence always comes from my mind during do my teaching practicum in HCMUTE. I never expect that I will teach the students in university that have the same age with me. That becomes the big challenge for me who still a student in my university. This is also become my great pride to be here because I can pass the TOEFL and interview test and got a good score to make my parents proud of me. Joining this program is a bridge for me to become a good English teacher in the future.

            By this program I have known that being a teacher is not easy. Being a teacher not only share knowledge to the students and finish the materials on the books. There are a lot of things that teacher have prepare before doing a teaching practice. Teacher should prepare many strategies in order to make the learning activity is fun and meaningful. Teacher supposed to be a friend for the students in order to make students not afraid when they are studying and can understand the materials easily. Therefore I have to prepare a lot to become a good teacher for my students because everyone knows that teacher is a model for the students.

OBSERVATION

 In the first week, I and my friends did campus observation to know the campus’ situations and atmosphere. Also, the facilities of the classroom in conducting this program. I also started to do classroom observation of student-teacher and teacher also. I have to observe every single detail of the teachers and the students in the classes.

HCMUTE

 Brief History

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) is the first university in Vietnam educating and training technical teachers for the whole country. It is located at 1 Vo Van Ngan st., Thu Duc District, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This university has a long history and renamed for several times.

MY FIRST FLIGHT

September 1, 2019

My tour started when I arrived at Ngurah Rai Airport. I was very happy because it was my first flight. I had a flight at 10.00 p.m which meant I had to arrive at least two hours for check in. My father and my uncle accompanied me to go to the airport by car. It takes three hours from my hometown and we arrived at 6 p.m. I arrived earlier from my friends so I have to wait for them around 30 minutes.
While waiting, I took a lot of pictures and share it on my social media. Suddenly, all of my friends replied my story and said “safe flight, I will miss you so bad and don’t forget to give me gifts”. OH NO!! I have to give them something from Vietnam. Had no knowledge about something to do at the airport made me little bit confused. How lucky I am to have a best friend that had a lot of knowledge about that. Her name is Diana. She had like my mother which always reminded me anything included the clothes that I had to bring. Thank you for your kindness my love.
